We can work together to develop new coping skills, healthy boundaries, and turn insight into action.

Ever since the age of 12, I knew I wanted to be a social worker and clinical psychologist. I was the person people naturally gravitated to and confided in about difficulties in their relationships.  I am always able to find more commonalities than differences with others and strive to build trust with my clients from the very beginning.  I come from a very large family of 8 children so have a vast understanding of complicated family dynamics, alliances, and conflicts.

I recognize the importance of first beginning where you are at through collaboration, empathy, and guided self-examination: common times to reach out for help are when you are feeling stuck, exhausted, fixated, or in pain, and feel uncertain or scared of how to face it alone.  We can work together to develop new coping skills, healthy boundaries, and turn insight into action.

As a social worker, I received macro-training to look at the big picture of a problem and as a psychologist, I received micro-training to examine up close how your past experiences are linked to present behavior.

My specialty is in helping to cope with life transitions, partner relationship issues, parent-child relationship conflicts, anxiety, depression, work-life balance, and social skills training.

Additionally, I have an extensive background as an adoption specialist, working with adoptees, adoptive parents, and birth parents, addressing issues of loss, infertility, attachment, adjustment and unrealistic expectations.  I can be hired for testing, therapy or workshops.
